The Green Lantern and Thor are great, but where are the girl superheroes? Sure, there were some in X-Men: First Class and the other X-Men movies and there have been others, but they're few and far between. That was one of the refreshing things about Sucker Punch The action-fantasy movie stars Emily Browning as Babydoll, Vanessa Hudgens as Blonde, Abbie Cornish as Sweet Pea, Jena Malone as Rocket and Jamie Chung as Amber. It also stars Carla Gugino, Jon Hamm, Scott Glenn and Oscar Isaac. The director is Zach Snyder (Watchmen, 300). Here is a great gallery of Sucker Punch superheroine character posters.

The most popular female superhero, Wonder Woman is brought to life by Lynda Carter in the popular 1970's television series! With her bullet deflecting bracelets, magic lasso and invisible plane audiences get a chance to follow her as she fights evildoers everywhere! And at the same time prompting adolescent boys to consider that perhaps all girls aren't icky. I wouldn't technically categorize this as a Superhero Film, I mean it's a TV show, but I'm going to include it anyway because I think it's a worthwhile entry and I'm the one making up the rules for this series. I'm planning on focusing on other television shows in the future. In the 1970's television was the best place to watch superhero adventures, so there are a few I want to cover, but will just mainly focus on the pilot episodes.
